YouWeCan Foundation, with the support of National Fertilizers Ltd conducted 10 Cancer Screening and Awareness Camps in villages located near the NFL Vijaipur Unit, District Guna, Madhya Pradesh, over a ten day period. 

With a trained team of doctors and health workers, the camps were a great success and around 1200 participants were screened for oral and breast cancer. 

We also conducted individual tobacco cessation counselling sessions and spread awareness on issues related to Oral & Breast Cancer. Men and women in the ten villages were screened for oral cancer. Authentic and empowering information about oral cancer prevention was provided to all the participants. Women above the age of 25 were screened for breast cancer. The doctors also sensitized them about good menstrual hygiene and taught women about self breast examination. 

The mission of YouWeCan Foundation is to empower all people to fight cancer through awareness, prevention, early detection, patient support and survivor empowerment. Through our village level screening and awareness camps, we are able to reach out to marginalised communities living in remote areas with limited access to mainstream healthcare facilities.
