On the occasion  of Women’s Day 2019, YouWeCan launched its All-Women Awareness Programme, focusing on breast and cervical awareness, with a mission to encourage and empower women towards making their own health a top priority.  

The first such awareness workshop was held at the Gurgaon office of IHS Markit- a global critical  information and insights company and a longtime supporter and corporate partner of YouWeCan  Foundation. 

The program commenced with Dr. Saphalta Baghmar- Medical Oncologist at BLK Hospital, New Delhi, who sensitised the women working with IHS Markit. Cancer champions Shveta Chandra and Sumanna Sagar shared their experiences of battling breast cancer with an emphasis on how early diagnosis and subsequent treatment play an integral part in curing the disease.

Women often play the role of caretaker of their families while overlooking their own well-being. We hope that through this programme, women would become more aware and empowered to look after themselves as well.
